Position: Text Mining Positions Available Location: Los Angeles, CA or New Delhi, India Web: www.syncata.com
Syncata is looking for a Software Scientist to join our team and take on the following responsibilities:
Contribute towards development of ProQuest Syncata’s technology in distributed data-mining.
Support deployment of data-mining technology in Automotive and Information and Learning applications
Publish scientific papers based on the conducted research.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Self-motivated, team player.
Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
Masters or Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Statistics with emphasis in Text Mining and Artificial Intelligence
Text mining modeling experience, preferably for real-world business problems in manufacturing/industrial production, like diagnostic procedures, transportation, forecasting, scheduling etc.
Strong conceptual understanding of a range of data mining technologies, including neural networks, decision trees, support vector machines, genetic programming etc.
Algorithm design experience and familiarity with probabilistic machine learning methods.
Proven ability in delivering data mining solutions for real world applications with Automotive experience a plus.
Passion to create and implement solutions that are practical and which can extrapolate research into solutions that make money
Proficiency in Java/C++ , VB, Perl and applications development experience under Windows/Linux environments. MATLAB experience a big plus
Experience with SQL, Oracle and other relational data base methodologies would be a plus.
